Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions apply to your use of MoveAmigo and the online or offline services offered by MoveAmigo Singapore. As a "User" of this website and/or services offered by MoveAmigo, you hereby agree and conform to our Privacy Policy and the following Terms of Use:
1. Definition
1.1 "MoveAmigo" refers to MoveAmigo.com, a company incorporated in Singapore, operating under the name "MoveAmigo".
1.2 "Services" refer to the services and products offers by us to you by the means of MoveAmigo, online or offline.
1.3 "User" refers anyone who uses this website and/or makes a booking or Service request with MoveAmigo.
1.4 "Service Provider" refers to the companies, drivers or vehicle operators who have agreed to accept bookings through the Services offered by MoveAmigo.
1.5 "Goods" refer to the anything that is being transported, handled or moved by the Service Provider as part of the Services offered by MoveAmigo.
1.6 "Terms and Conditions" refer to the Terms and Conditions that apply to the Services as set out on "www.moveamigo.com" and may be amended from time to time.
2. Services
We offer a platform to provide information and a means for you to obtain a transport or moving service from our Service Providers through the use of our websites and sales team. MoveAmigo allows you to book a Service with details of you and your request. Partial information (without personally identifiable information) will be then be passed on to our Service Providers, each Service Provider has the sole discretion to accept or reject each request. Only when a Service Provider accepts a request, will they receive your full information so as to complete the Service.
3. Charges and Payments
3.1 Charges for the service are stated upon making the booking.
3.2 If there is a 60 minute time limit, the time will begin upon the arrival of the Service Provider. If the service goes above the stipulated time limit, additional charges will be pro-rated per minute.
3.3 There may be additional charges if the scope of the service is beyond what has already been confirmed. Including, but not limited to, additional locations, stairs, long push (If the Service Provider must move items on foot for distances over 50 meters), Special Items (If there is oversized, bulky items, heavy items, items that may require dismantle or assembly, and/or fragile items) or Special Requests.
3.4 Payments is to be made in the method that the user has agreed upon when making the booking with MoveAmigo. All prices are in Singapore Dollars.
3.5 No hardcopy receipt will be provided, but an E-Receipt can be sent on request.
3.6 Prices can be amended and updated at our sole discretion from time to time without prior notice.
4. The User
4.1 The User warrants that they are either the Owner or the authorized agent of the Owner of the Goods, and that they are authorized to accept and is accepting these Conditions not only for themselves but also as agent for and on behalf of the Owner of the Goods.
4.2 The User warrants that they have complied with all laws and regulations relating to the nature, condition, packaging, handling, storage and carriage of the Goods. Service Providers reserve the right to refuse any articles that are prohibited by law, dangerous or hazardous materials, perishable substances, and radioactive material. The User is liable for any loss or damage suffered by any third party as a result of any breach of the terms. Service Providers will not open and inspect the Goods, and bear no responsibility in any legal liability resulting from the transportation of the Goods.
4.3 The User is to ensure the Goods are properly packaged so as to protect against damage to the Goods during the course of the Service. Fragile Goods should have the word "FRAGILE" prominently displayed in capital letters on the face of the case or container and the User is to notify the Service Provider regarding any fragile Goods.
4.4 The User must make any arrangements with their building management, if a permit or permission is required to enter the premises for the Service.
4.5 It is the Users sole responsibility to ensure that valuable, unusual or any other items or Goods are covered by appropriate insurance, which they may purchase from third parties.
5. The Service Provider
5.1 The Service Provider shall take all reasonable precaution to prevent unauthorized persons from having access to the Goods and shall take all reasonable precaution against loss of or damage of the Goods.
5.2 Service Providers shall make a reasonable effort to deliver the Goods according to the respective schedules and are to notify the User of any changes or delays.
5.3 In case of lost items inside the vehicles of Service Providers during the journey, we will use reasonable endeavors to liaise with the relevant Service Provider to locate such items but in no event shall we be responsible or liable for the loss of, or damage to, any such items.
6. MoveAmigo
6.1 MoveAmigo is not a transportation company, and do not provide transportation services. MoveAmigo only acts as an intermediary between you and the Service Providers. We are not your agent, or the agent of the Service Providers.
6.2 MoveAmigo makes a reasonable effort to ensure our Service Providers are reliable. We only liaise with legally registered businesses in Singapore.
6.3 The use of MoveAmigo and our Services is at your sole risk. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any damages resulting from or in connection with the use or inability to use MoveAmigo or the Services.
7. Cancellation Policy
7.1 Any cancellations shall be made at least twenty-four (24) hours before the scheduled service.
7.2 If the booking is cancelled within twenty-four (24) hours of the scheduled service, the User shall pay fifty percent (50%) as a cancellation fee. This also includes if the Service Provider arrives at the location and the User is unable to go ahead with the Service due to not making the necessary arrangements, permits, or permissions with their building management.
7.3 MoveAmigo offers boxes for rent as a value-added service and are only refundable if the user completes the service with MoveAmigo. If the user cancels the service after the delivery of these boxes, the boxes are considered SOLD and are no longer refundable.
8. Indemnification
By accepting these Terms and using MoveAmigo or the Services, you agree that you shall defend, indemnify and hold us, our affiliates, our licensors, and each of our and their respective officers, directors, other users, employees, attorneys and agents harmless from and against any and all claims, costs, damages, losses, liabilities and expenses (including attorneys' fees and costs) arising out of or in connection with: (a) your violation or breach of any term of these Terms or any applicable law or regulation, whether or not referenced herein; (b) your violation of any rights of any third party, including Service Providers arranged via MoveAmigo, or (c) your use or misuse of MoveAmigo or the Services.
9. Miscellaneous
9.1 MoveAmigo may, at our sole discretion, from time to time amend or otherwise modify or replace any of these Terms and Conditions or change, suspend or discontinue MoveAmigo or the Services by sending you a notice through www.MoveAmigo.com, which shall be effective and binding on you upon notice or posting.
9.2 If any provision under these Terms is rendered void, illegal or unenforceable in any respect under any applicable law, the validity, legality and enforceability of the remaining provisions shall not in any way be affected by it and shall continue to apply.
9.3 These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Singapore.
9.4 You submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore as regards any dispute or matter arising under these Terms.
9.5 MoveAmigo reserves the right to change the above Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice.
